Our upcoming Community Meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 15th, at 6:30 pm.
We are delighted to welcome Kate Amick, the Executive Director of Common Ground Community Building, where she leads with empathy and purpose to assist families facing poverty in Jefferson City. She also serves as the board secretary for the Capital City Diaper Bank and participates in the City of Jefferson's Public Transit Advisory Commission. Additionally, Edwin Cooper, the Benevolence Coordinator at Common Ground Community Building, will join us. With nearly 30 years of experience in Missouri state agencies, Edwin has strong ties to faith-based and community service, including roles with the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Missouri Housing Development Commission, the University of Missouri, and Lincoln University Extension. Edwin also serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Salvation Army, Vice President of Housing the Community Jefferson City, and Chair of Project Homeless Connect.
We look forward to seeing you there!
We were so excited to introduce this new event! One of our survivors had this idea and has worked hard to bring her dream to reality. All the artwork displayed has been made by fellow survivors. Sales of the artwork went to the survivors and to raising awareness of local human trafficking. Many thanks to Capital Arts for hosting this event and all of the sponsors who have helped make this happen! It was a great success!
